What saves a relationship?

Never ever bring up something (mistakes/faults) from the past when you are having an argument. Don’t use abusive/foul words when the argument becomes a fight.

Yes, we all have problems in life, we all do mistakes too.

Every relationship will be going good during the honeymoon period (the first six months), then slowly issues start surfacing. He/She will not like the way you keeping things in an unorganized way, sleeping positions, dressing, eating, talking loud, chirping, complaining about in you and so on.

Don’t bring up some issues, which was settled days/weeks/months ago, just to justify your stand. He/She might have done something in his/her past, which was done and dusted. Don’t try to justify you are right by pulling something from past.

When some issues occur, never lose your temper, even if you lose, make sure that your words are proper. Words we speak doesn’t create wound, which can be healed. It creates scars, which will stay forever in life.

தீயினால் சுட்ட புண் உள்ளாறும் ஆறாதே நாவினால் சுட்ட வடு (திருக்குறள்)
The wounds of fire would vanish with time but the scars caused by words never.

So, my one piece of advice is not to use harsh words, abusive language and foul words when you fight (which you will) with your better half.

Winning an argument is easy, anyone can. Win the person’s heart, it is what matters the most.
